My Labor Day Menu + 50 Easy Recipe Ideas
Labor Day always feels like a little pause, a chance to slow down, gather with friends, and soak up everything we love about summer.
We’re planning a backyard get-together, and I’ve got my menu all set. If you’re hosting too (or just need a few fresh ideas), below is what I’ll be serving.
Plus, in case you need more inspiration, I've got over 50 Labor Day recipes you can choose from.
Starters & Apps
Ina Garten's Cold Cucumber Soup: Blended cucumber, avocado, and Greek yogurt, topped with roasted shrimp. I serve it in little glasses so they're easy to grab and look super cute.
Avocado Deviled Eggs (No Mayo!): A crowd-pleaser every time. Perfect for anyone who’s not a fan of mayo.
Easy Sides & Salads
Mediterranean Pasta Salad: A back-pocket favorite with feta, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and pasta. It feeds a crowd and holds up in the heat.
Red Cabbage Slaw: My go-to slaw for anything grilled. It’s even better when you make it ahead.
Quick-Grilling Mains
Grilled Marinated Flank Steak: Budget-friendly and always a hit. I marinate it overnight and then grill it in under 10 minutes.
Grilled Mahi Mahi: Served with my peach salsa, it is light, fresh, and super fast to cook.
Drinks & Dessert
Cucumber Mint Limeade (CAVA Copycat): A refreshing mix of cucumber juice, lime, and mint. Great for kids or with a splash of something for adults.
Almond Flour Brownies: Rich and fudgy. I serve them warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
